Node_Synth Updates
Over the past couple of weeks, I've been working on some additions to one of my many sound generators in Max. Node_Synth is a tool that lets you create freeform nodes (using the Node object) to interact with and play with sound. This has three components. The first is four sound generators; sine sawtooth, triangle and square waves. These all have an overlapping node that can be used in the way that as the pinpoint goes closer to the centre of a node, the higher frequency it will be, and this is blended between four generators. The next is two notes that can be used to determine if any the amount of reverb and overdrive that are added to the sounds. The third has just been added today, which is a quad mono channel panner; this allows all four sounds to be blended across all four channels. I've had this for a little while but over the past few weeks. I've made some cleanup and amendments to it to make it much more usable and interesting. I think there's a lot more that can be done in this space around no based interfaces but really it's more of a proof of concept than anything. I've added it to my resources section of my website if you would like to download it and play with it.
