Ten Tips to Stay Creative

  1. Surround yourself with art, people, objects and materials that inspire you. Trinket or pieces of art or music or even people that inspire you need to be around you all the time so that you remain creatively engaged.

  2. Make your space in which you create highly flexible and usable. This could be having a whiteboard or mirror to ride on a desk with plenty of light and space to keep things on and a set of materials in which to write or type with.

  3. Spend time in nature, the city and in your creative dwellings. Getting out of sad space and being amongst society or nature can really improve the creative spirit and engage in the muse.

  5. Be positive about your art form and yourself.   8. Talk with other engagers of your practice. Whether this be fellow artists or patrons of art it's important to hear different perspectives and to hear what people think about art because it will help you engage your own mind and form your own creative opinions.

  9. Use various modes and limitations within your art practice. The old outage of restriction allows creativity is very true. What is also true is finding new ways to create art within your very practice. This could include tools approaches or perspectives.

  10. Keep up the work keep up the work keep up the work. Only by continuing in your work will it progress and will your passion and engagement and skills be kept alive. Little by little.
