Ten Easy Ways To Be Creative

  1. Go outside and look at something beautiful and think about the aspects of its texture, smell, looks, sounds and colours.

  2. Make a note about the first creative thing that pops into your head once you wake up.

  3. Free draw something, whatever comes to mind. Connect the lines shapes and dots.

  4. Think about a tune that you know and think about a way that you would change it will you move its pitch up or down? Will you make it louder or softer? Will you change the instrument or timbre of it?

  5. Think about a movie or TV show you like and list five reasons that you liked it. Was it the characters? Was it how the grade looked? Was it the dialogue? Was it the story?

  6. Look at a piece of art. Think about how it would change if it was done in a different medium.

  7. Find one little way that you can change a process that you do in your day-to-day life or at work. Think about how that might alter it.

  8. How much you change the order of tasks that you do at a particular time of day? Is it the steps you take before you go to bed? What happens if the order changes?

  9. Change the attire that you wear on a particular day. Is it one new or different piece of clothing that you would wear with a particular outfit or is it the whole style of clothing that you’re changing? Try to do this with the items you already have.

  10. Write something for a friend or family member. It might be a gratitude or message of love. It might be a little story, or poem. Or just something that you did today that you thought they might like to know.
